Ryan D. Pace, Partner

Ryan Pace represents large and small developers, real estate investment trusts, utilities, investors and educational institutions in land transfer transactions and permitting, development, leasing and financing matters, and he regularly advises public and quasi-public entities and municipalities on real estate issues. He also serves as counsel to fiduciaries, families, non-profit organizations, and individuals in all aspects of real estate matters.  Ryan joined Anderson & Kreiger after practicing real estate law at Palmer & Dodge (now Edwards Wildman).  His experience includes:

       
  • Representing a real estate investment trust in the acquisition of a number of portfolio properties, including a group of three research and development and biotechnology office buildings in Cambridge, Massachusetts, office, laboratory and manufacturing space in North Carolina and a large multi-tenant life sciences campus in New York;
  • Conducting an entitlement review for a leading American-based asset management and financial services company with respect to the potential acquisition of a 140-acre mixed-use transit-oriented development;
  • Serving as counsel to a municipality for the conveyance of surplus state-owned land to a national apartment developer in a multi-party transaction involving land in three towns and numerous state and local entities;
  • Representing a private elementary and secondary school with respect to real estate planning matters and the acquisition of permits for campus consolidation efforts;
  • Drafting and negotiating complex lease and operating agreements for airports across the country;
  • Representing an international utility company with respect to the sale of its 68-acre corporate campus coupled with a leaseback of a portion of same and the resolution of a number of property contamination issues;
  • Leading complex land planning and preservation efforts, including counseling private landowners, fiduciaries, trusts, and estates concerning grants of restrictions to individuals, governmental entities, and conservation organizations; and
  • Representing municipalities on zoning, subdivision, and land acquisition and transfer matters, and counseling the towns of Acton, Concord, Dover, and Lexington with respect to real estate and land use issues and transactions.
