Melissa C. Allison, Partner

Melissa represents private and public sector clients in complex commercial, regulatory, and environmental litigation. Melissa also represents governmental airport owners in federal regulatory compliance matters and civil litigation. Her clients include global companies, such as Genzyme Corporation, governmental entities throughout the United States, and the leading national airport trade association. Her experience includes:

       
  • Representing Genzyme Corporation in complex commercial litigation throughout the U.S. and abroad;   
  • Successfully defending an airport proprietor in prominent antitrust and RICO litigation in federal court in Massachusetts;   
  • Drafting an amicus brief on behalf of Airports Council International in the 9/11 litigation pending in federal court in New York;     
  • Representing a global diversified company in Superfund litigation in federal court in Massachusetts;
  • Successfully defending airport owners in Part 16 proceedings before the FAA;   
  • Advising numerous airport proprietors on FAA compliance issues;   
  • Negotiating with the FAA on behalf of airport owners to resolve significant grant disputes;   
  • Representing municipalities in litigation regarding environmental contamination; and
  • Clerking for the Honorable Joseph R. Goodwin in the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
