Christine M. Griffin, Associate

Christine Griffin's practice focuses on commercial litigation and employment matters. She has extensive experience with cases involving municipalities, educational institutions, real estate developers and high-tech companies. Since 2001, Christine has conducted four jury trials and two bench trials. She has also helped settle several high profile multi-million dollar cases. Prior to joining Anderson & Kreiger, she worked for two large Boston law firms and as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Quincy, Massachusetts. Christine knows how to vigorously advocate for her clients; but she is also skilled in counseling clients to settle difficult employment and commercial disputes when fully litigating a case is not in the client’s best interest. Ms. Griffin's experience includes:

  • Representing and advising local schools and colleges on employment matters and in tort and contract disputes.
  • Representing a large Cambridge bio-tech company in complex, multi-million dollar commercial litigation.
  • Representing a local high-tech start-up in crafting its Human Resources structure and employment agreements.
  • Representing large, multi-national corporations in disputes involving claims of breach of contract, unfair and deceptive business practices, breach of licensing agreements, trademark and copyright infringement, and other business tort and contract claims.
  • Representing labor and employment clients before the Civil Service Commission, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as in state and Federal Court.
  • Representing public and private entities in permitting and zoning disputes.
  • Advising large and small local businesses regarding internal employment matters including employment agreements, employee handbooks, internal policies and procedures, severance agreements, employee hiring, employee discipline and employee termination.
  • Advising clients regarding real estate projects built pursuant to the Massachusetts Affordable Housing Statute.
  • Advising clients concerning Massachusetts procurement law and Massachusetts eminent domain law.
  • Ms. Griffin, and others, successfully represented several plaintiffs as trial counsel in a civil wrongful conviction case in which the Court awarded over $100 million in damages, the largest wrongful conviction damage award ever in the U.S. See “Meet the $101.7 Million Dream Team”, The Boston Globe, July 29, 2007.
