Gail L. Anderson, Counsel
Gail Anderson has a diverse background in civil litigation at the trial and appellate level. Her practice focuses on the representation of insurers and insureds in complex insurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims. Previously, Gail was a partner at Martin, Magnuson, McCarthy & Kenney, where she defended medical malpractice and other professional liability, product liability, toxic tort, construction and eminent domain claims. Gail has also worked at Boston College Law School as an advisor to law students and editor of the UCC Reporter Digest. Her experience includes:
- Advising professional liability insurers with respect to insurance coverage and claims handling matters and representing them in coverage litigation;
- Representing insureds in coverage disputes and bad faith claims;
- Obtaining a declaratory judgment obligating a general liability insurer to defend and indemnify a community health center in a pending civil suit;
- Obtaining a jury verdict in favor of a defendant-radiologist, affirmed on appeal, in a wrongful death action;
- Writing the winning appellate brief addressing the duty owed by officers of a charitable corporation to the employee of an independent contractor who was seriously injured in a fall from a hospital roof;
- Successfully representing a public authority in eminent domain and construction claims; and
- Serving as a contributing author and revisions editor for numerous Matthew Bender and Lexis/Nexis treatises and other publications in the commercial law arena.
