Libby Bowker has joined the firm as an environmental and land use associate and Xavier Lawrence has joined the firm as a litigation associate.

Libby represents private and public clients before conservation commissions, planning boards, zoning boards, and other various administrative forums, as well as in arbitrations, mediations, Land Court, and Superior Court.  In addition, Libby is often called on to advise those bodies directly. Her environmental experience spans a wide range of issues, from hazardous waste remediation and regulatory wetlands compliance, to flood resilient construction standards and habitat restoration and preservation. She counsels clients on environmental permitting matters, and has represented municipalities and private clients in challenges to permit decisions in Superior Court and Land Court, and before administrative entities such as the Building Code Appeals Board.

Prior to law school, Libby conducted oceanic temperature research aboard a research vessel based out of Woods Hole, Massachusetts, led a backcountry trail crew repairing remote sections of the Pacific Crest Trail, and taught outdoor science classes at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.

Xavier litigates on behalf of private and public-sector clients of all sizes.  He advises clients during all stages of litigation, including initial fact investigation, discovery, deposition preparation, and motion practice.  Xavier has extensive experience drafting discovery responses, conducting and managing complex confidential document reviews, and drafting both dispositive and non-dispositive motions.

Prior to joining Anderson & Kreiger, Xavier worked for a well-known regional firm that focuses on toxic tort and product liability litigation where he gained valuable litigation experience.

Anderson & Kreiger is delighted to welcome Libby and Xavier to the A&K team.
